Sharon Anderson of Balanced Lifestyles shares a great networking tip. “I think the most important thing is to be authentic, just be who you are.”
Being you is the first way for others to accept and be able to see if they are able to create a connection. You can’t please everybody but you can choose from among them who you can make ties with. Look for people who you can make a heart connection because it is very important. How can you know you have a heart connection with someone? You just do, like an instinct. You are comfortable talking to them and they to you.
So when you’re out there to do networking to feel more confident, connect with those people that you have that heart-connection, that you have similar interests and values and you will find that you will really enjoy those connections you make.
